I was looking for internet service providers in my area, and I found the easiest thing to do was to go online and compare them. Finding a blog/website where I could compare the popular plans side by side really helped.  I really focus on speed when I am online, and so it was good to see what plans are available, and what they cost.  It’s also great to factor in all the incentives, such as free modems, free wi-fi, and cash back offers.  The single most important thing to me is the cost and speed – if I can bundle services together and save money and get a high quality product, that is really the best of all!

Finding and comparing the internet service providers in my area was not too difficult. I looked online to find if the major companies provided service, and I found that of AT&T and Verizon, I was in luck with AT&T Uverse.  I then was able to compare that to the local cable company and other local internet providers.  I tried comparing speed, but Uverse is pretty much in a class by itself.  However, cost was a factor, and the local cable company offered an accellerated speed bundled into TV and phone which was cheaper than Uverse.  It wasn’t as fast, but it was an adequate speed for me, at a great price!
